How will I manage my account?
All acounts come with cPanel, a fully-featured control panel with email options, webmail access, statistics, password-protected directories, and so much more. Login to cPanel at yourdomain.com/cpanel

You can learn more about cPanel by visiting
    cpanel.net.

    What are the FTP settings?
Using an FTP client such as
SmartFTP, you can connect to ftp.yourdomain.com with your username and password to upload files to your website. If you need to get started before your domain is setup with the proper nameservers, you can also connect to orange.d2hosting.com.

    What nameservers will I use?
If you have registered your own domain name, you will need to configure its primary and secondary nameservers to ns1.d2hosting.com and ns2.d2hosting.com, respectively.

Do you offer POP3, IMAP, and SMTP mail access?
In addition to online webmail access (yourdomain.com/webmail), you may check your email with any program supporting the POP3, IMAP, or SMTP protocols, such as Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, etc. You must configure the email client to connect to mail.yourdomain.com for each, using your full email address as the username, and check that the "smtp server requires authentication."

    What does "Bandwidth" mean?
Bandwidth is the amount of data transferred both to and from the server. For example, if a 1 MB file were downloaded 10 times, then 10 MB of bandwidth would have been used. All accounts have bandwidth limits that are reset on a monthly basis.

    What are Subdomains?
Subdomains allow you to use anything.yourdomain.com. They will typically point to a folder in your current domain.

    What is a Parked Domain?
Suppose you owned www.domain.com and www.domain.net, and you needed them both to point to the exact same website. Parked Domains would accomplish this using a single account.

    What is an Addon Domain?
Addon Domains allow you to have a second domain point to a folder in your current domain. For example, if you owned www.domain.com and www.domainsales.com, you could setup www.domainsales.com to point to www.domain.com/sales/ with a single account using Addon Domains.

    What is PHPMyAdmin used for?
Used as an administrative tool for MySQL, PHPMyAdmin allows you to create, modify, or alter databases and the information they hold. It is an invaluable tool for working with information over the web.

What are Cron Jobs and what do they do?
Cron Jobs allow a script to be executed at any specified time of the day. They can be used for many things, including to run daily calculations on collected data using PHP, Perl, or MySQL.
